For several years Red Mecca had put up snippets with their version of the most important Swedish songs associated with the big holidays on social media. By popular demand – here is the first song – now as a full track. A Hymn that is, in all Swedish minds, associated with school graduation and one of the most important Swedish traditions – midsummer. Den blomstertid nu kommer is a song with a long history where the lyrics is written in 15th Century and the music is from much older traditional folk song. In Red Meccas version it becomes an almost deconstructed track with ethereal sounds and Susannes vocals in focus. Out on the magical midsummer morning it is a stand-alone single to be followed in fall by new material.
